How You Can Help

Elk Foundation chapters are the lifeblood of this organization. Volunteers work year around promoting the organization, putting together the banquets, and building the relationships that make the success the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation enjoys possible. There are many ways you can become a part of this incredible conservation effort ranging from “Boots on the Ground” volunteer work to attending banquets and financially contributing to the habitat protection and enhancement efforts that have made the organization famous. At whatever level you choose to participate you can be assured that your contributions are quickly and effectively put to use ensuring the future of elk, other wildlife, and the magnificent habitat that supports them.

First and foremost we would ask that you get involved! If you are not already a member of RMEF click here to join the ranks of the finest assemblage of conservationists in the world. Then get in touch with us at the North Texas Chapter with the contacts listed below and lets figure out how best to take advantage of your skills and interests in supporting this most worthy of causes. Working with people that are passionate about what they are doing is contagious, and just downright fun. The friendships you develop along the way are just a bonus! We set up a booth at different venues around the area to promote the Elk Foundation, and we are always in need of people to staff it and spread the word about the work that we do. We will keep a schedule of events on this website listing upcoming opportunities in this regard, and you can contact us by email at volunteer@northtexasrmef.org to find out more.

Putting on a chapter banquet is a big job. Committee members meet about 10 times a year hammering out the logistics of one of these events, and work throughout the year courting donors and sponsors to make it a success. There are mailings to design, print and send out to potential attendees, auction catalogs to build, ads to place, and the on-going job of soliciting and pulling together donations for our auctions. And then we have to get everything in-place and set up for the big event! Attend our annual banquet, and bring your friends! Reserved tables are available with sponsor, sustaining, and renewal memberships included. If you can bring something to this effort, or would like to make reservations, get in touch with us at information@northtexasrmef.org and be a part of the best conservation and hunting organization around!

And last, but certainly not least consider helping us financially through donating goods and services to our annual banquet and auction. In many cases individuals and companies do this simply for the gratification of contributing to a worthy cause, and others enjoy the added benefits of publicity and promotional opportunities with an elite gathering of their target markets. RMEF is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization and the difference between the fair market value of anything you donate and compensation received is fully tax deductible. We also have opportunities for underwriting different aspects of our banquet that can include specific forms of recognition at the event and in our literature that can memorably promote your companies association with a recognized and respected conservation group. If this seems like a cause you need to be involved with send us an email at donations@northtexasrmef.org and we will discuss what is possible at your convenience.
